Well we’ve finally collected our membership cards for the gym / pool. Just the 3 months after joining.
Unsurprisingly then tonight’s session was the first time I’ve been in a pool. Not including holidays in almost a year.
It definitely has dawned on me. I can’t swim for toffee. Sure I can splash about a bit. I can saunter up and down in a breast stroke of a fashion. That’s it.
Attempt at front crawl led to falling short of a 25m length. Pride. Hurt.
I think I’ve got a fair way to go. Well just over another 1,875 metres to be precise.
