One busy weekend (well, one of many recently!)

Another weekend has flown by like it wasn’t even here. That’s not entirely a bad thing by the way. It had a sprinkling of everything: training, working, eating and merryment.

The Big Build

The build is really coming along well, it’s tantalisingly close, yet also quite far away. This week saw us take the living room from bare bones with a bit of insulation through to feeling like a real room, one of the walls almost complete. It’s starting to feel like a home!

Spring

Writing this on a Monday where we’ve had sunshine, showers and a blizzard, over the weekend Spring, sprung.

Spring is starting to push through the winter ground

Food

We went on another trip to Lublin’s best vegan restaurant Umea. Seriously the seitan kebab there is a thing of beauty. If they weren’t so filling we could eat them all. Really, really recommend a trip there. If you’re about in the Lublin area give us a shout – any excuse!

Fitness

Finally, the stuff that no-one’s here for, the training. We’re starting to get focused again on training, fingers crossed this week Liam will get the all clear from the physio. There’s also some exciting news to come around training plans and revised goals for the year.

This weekend there was an hour long turbo trainer ride, enjoying Zwift (especially the King of The Mountain in Innsbruck). It was hot and sweaty as with every indoor ride with the towels on the floor definitely soaked. Disgusting!

Sunday saw a decent long run, 10km taking things easy and then a few intervals to finish off. That training run managed to include Liam’s second fastest 10km of all time (not that it’s saying anything). Not bad considering the massive undertraining from the ankle injuries.

That’s a quick overview of our weekend, how was yours?
