The weekend in review

It seems a little strange to be writing up a review of the weekend on a Thursday but, it was a long weekend with lots of travel, merriment, eating and coming home to find winter was here at last.

What did we do then?

First up. We went to the UK to see the fantastic Sarah Millican live in Northampton. We also spent time with friends and family, relaxed and went to the pub. That was amazing and long overdue.

Second. Burgers, we found burgers. Lovely, lovely vegan burgers. Beyond Meats Beyond Burger was the first vegan burger we’ve had that could match up to the taste, texture and experience of eating a normal burger. I wrote a bit about it here

Thirdly. 2019 challenges, and early 2019 challenges at that. We’ve been watching lots of adventure films on YouTube such as this run at UTMB (the CCC 2018). Which has made us fancy a bit of trail running action. We’re thinking of running a few events, a half marathon in Feb and a full marathon in March. Watch this space for more info. Suffice to say, training starts on Monday…

Fourth. Hello winter. After leaving Poland last week in plus temperatures, we arrived back at the airport. It’s barely made it above zero in the days since and it looks like the weather will continue like this for a little while. We’ve heard it’s called winter and it happens fairly regularly.

There we go. A quick review of the weekend, skipping the dual bout of extreme tiredness from not getting a huge amount of sleep and packing in a huge amount of stuff!
