We’re heading to the end of another year, so what better way than to have a look back at some of our favourite videos. You know the ones we could’ve been doing something productive instead of watching. So whether you’re looking for inspiration, motivation, laughs or something useful you might find it in here:
First up some pure inspiration. Have you ever felt like you just couldn’t get a workout done, or anything for that matter. Have a watch of On presents Tim Don – The Man with the Halo | Official Documentary:
Next up, this one is a series of videos, one a day indeed focussed on all things Triathlon. The great thing about it is core to triathlon. Unsurprisingly this means there’s stuff for cyclists, swimmers and runners. Whether training tips, nutrition or equipment, there’s something for all. If you are into Triathlon or not, it’s a great place to get some info. You’ll find it all over on the Triathlon Taren channel.
Next up, something useful, functional and all round something that we should all endeavour to do. Yep, it’s Yoga. Yoga, something that prior to finding the Yoga with Adriene channel that Liam couldn’t stand. All instructors seem to put simple beginner positions that are (pun intended) out of reach. Adriene seems to have a knack of having her videos support all abilities.
Something a little bit different, it’s always inspiring to see someone do something utterly ridiculous. Regardless of the conditions. It’s best to take the time to watch the evolving effort that is Ross Edgley’s Great British Swim.
Another doing the ridiculous and inspiring you to go out and see the world, not just look at a phone or screen, type film. It’s about cycling from the North of Canada, to the South of Argentina. It’s long, it’s inspiring and it’s got a lovely sound track. Aptly titled I want to see the world is well worth a watch (or twenty).
Next up, a series that is equally interesting, inspiring and hilarious. REI Trailheads is well worth watching and is in a nice short form.
We watched a crazy huge amount of ultra running everything from Western States to UTMB. The first one we watched however, and the one that made us want to try our hands at trail running was this one.
And finally (for this list) is the fantastic Rich Roll. Along with the brilliant podcasts there is also his fantastic YouTube channel. Lot’s of in-depth interviews on a whole bunch of different topics. There’s something there for everyone and you’re guaranteed to learn something in every one.
So there you go, a few videos, hopefully you’ll find them interesting and maybe even inspiring.
What about you? What would you recommend?
